Dear Adults: Calm Yourself

By Emily – Special Contributor

What is important to you?

Dance, Music and being a girl.

What is it like to be a girl in your world?

Amazing and OK! Amazing because what girls can do in the world. And “OK” because we are [still] vulnerable.

What is something you think Adults need to know about your world?
How life is challenging for us. Adults need to know that life for us is challenging, busy and complex. Adults make a big deal about too many things; calm your self.

Emily is twelve years old, and is in French School. She is great at Art and loves to dance. She participates in a few dance classes. Her teacher reported that Emily is helpful with peers and supportive.

What is important to you?

What is it like to be a girl in your world?

What is something you think Adults need to know about your world?

SIL Blog would like to extend a tremendous “THANK YOU” to these young ladies and their parents, for sharing their message and lending their voices and words conversation and celebration of  Women’s History Month 2017.
