Coachella is something you HAVE to experience once in your life, if you’re REALLY into music. Sure, the lineup the past 3-4 years have been heavy on EDM but, there are some great mainstream, indie, and underground music to fulfill all your listening pleasure.

If I decided to go to Coachella, I would go to weekend 1. The grass on the polo field is nice and fresh which is great for walking around barefoot. The vendors aren’t worn out and you’d be the first to experience what Coachella is known for…the music and art.

A major tip in preparation. DO YOUR RESEARCH. You’re not going to know all the artists on the lineup. With the ones you’re not familiar with, listen to a few of their songs. You never know, you might like their sound. Keep in mind there’s a high chance you won’t see a full set based on scheduling. Be OK with catching partial sets. At least you got to see them perform live, right?

To preface, I’m really into indie right now but, the following is based on the set times released on the Coachella website for 2016 weekend 1. First on the list would be the first show I’d try to catch that day with the assigned stage and so on. It’s likely that I wouldn’t see all but, I’d try damn hard to. Bold ones are MUST sees for me.
